This very sweet cat, named Wazowski by the staff at Hope Animal Hospital, was diagnosed with end stage renal failure. His anemia was a symptom. Instead of being approximately 2 years old, the vet felt he was at least 15 years old. She felt he would not survive the dental extractions he needed in order to eat properly, and he was not able to eat sufficiently well without. Her recommendation was humane euthanasia. I was there personally, and stayed with him until he was released from his pain and suffering. Although it was heartbreaking to not be able to save him, I know letting him go was the right thing to do. Unfortunately, our vet bills are estimated to total over $700 and we’ve pledges or received donations of $90. We need help to cover this bill so we can continue to help cats like Wazowski.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Hope Animal Hospital for their loving care of Wazowski. They even drove the blood to another veterinary hospital that had the equipment needed to run a more thorough blood panel so we would have results today. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
