Cat Crisis In Bismarck Missouri

  • MCCA has recently learned as many as 150 cats and kittens are expected to be rounded up due to the city’s newly adopted ordinance to help stop the exploding feline population that has wreaked havoc on the community.

Midwest Community Cat Alliance needs any help we can get.  We have not recovered from the phenomenal kitten season and multiple emergencies that continue to roll in and are at max capacity and depleted of volunteers, supplies, funds, space and time.  Bismarck may have massive euthanasia rates if we cannot find the resources.

Bismarck AC’s literal brick and mortar building is rated to hold 9 animals according to Animal Control.  There are only a couple of portable cages to contain cats, the others are concrete and fence holding pens designed for dogs.

We have some young adults and older kittens with amazing markings and personalities that truly need our help to find them homes so that we can continue to work on expanding, educating communities about the benefits of TNR and setting up programs. “If you feed them, fix them”, adopt don’t shop…. pick your favorite  mantra.

Please browse our cats and kittens and descriptions.  We will try to answer any questions you may have, take more pictures if needed, consider most requests, deliver, or help arrange transport.

Thank you for considering and please share, share, share!

Siamese mix kitten.
From my understanding these large pods of cats are not your average ferals. Most, if not all were fed and taken care of their entire lives except for the fact that they were never vetted and just reproduced. I was able to get close enough to touch a couple them, one of the little Siamese. I think the cats are more scared than anything.
